補足です。

buildconfを行うと、

$ ./buildconf --force
Forcing buildconf
using default Zend directory
rebuilding main/php_config.h.in
mv: cannot remove old link to `/.in': Permission denied

と、なり、"/.in"への書き込みに失敗しているようです。

当然、Rootでは上手くいきます。。。ですが、明らかに
おかしいですよね。。。うちの環境が。(^^;

尚、手元のFreeBSD 4.8-RELEASEでは、上手く作業を行えて
いるようなので、こちらでテストしてみようと思います。
