先週から大変お世話になっています。yamadaです。
日曜はマシン作業ができないもので報告遅くなってすみません。

Apacheのインストールですが、
ペンギン本のp.12〜15を実行しました。本の手書きのメモを見ると
apache-1.3.20-16を
# rpm -e コマンドで削除し、書籍の付属のcd-romを使用し、
# tar xfz /mnt/cdrom/archives/apache_1.3.27.tar.gz
# env OPTIM="-o2" ./configure --enable-module=so
# make
# make install

でインストールしました。

# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start と入力すると
[Mon Jul 21 10:25:05 2003] [alert] httpd:Could not detarmine the serve's
fully
 qualified domain name, using 192.168.1.1 for ServerName
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start: httpd started
と表示されます。

/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.confですが
   # AddType allows you to tweak mime.types without actually editing it, or
to
    # make certain files to be certain types.
    #
    AddType application/x-tar .tgz
    AddType image/x-icon .ico
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php　←追加済です。

# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl stop と入力すると
/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl stop: httpd (pid 6408?) not running と表示さ
れます。
更に
# /usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start と入力すると

ブラウザから http://192.168.1.1/をのぞくと

しかし、
ブラウザから http://192.168.1.1/test1.php を実行すると
test1.phpを表示ではなく、ダウンロードしようとします。
