[PHP-users 27731] php5.1.0にて、libxml2を使用せずインストールしたい

いつも参考にしています。

php5.1.0は、libxml2は、必須ですか？
configureにて、エラーが発生します。
逃げ道があれば、よろしくお願いします

※現在は、libxm2 2.6.7を使用していますがバージョンをあげられません。

configureするとerror: libxml2 version 2.6.11 or greater required

↓configure文
./configure --enable-mbstring --enable-mbstr-enc-trans --with-pgsql --without-mysql 
 --enable-track-vars --with-apxs2=/usr/sbin/apxs2 --without-gd --enable-trans-sid 
 --with-ldap  --enable-mbregex --with-zlib --enable-pear --with-xmlrpc

↓エラー近辺のメッセージ
