I'm trying to test multibyte behaviour, but don't have the ability to
change my lang env var (I run Windows 98, and the CD-ROM is missing).

I need to know what happens both under Linux and under win32 when the
system locale is that of a multibyte language and

1)  A GtkCalendar widget is constructed
2)  In a GtkText widget, insert_text() is used
3)  In a GtkText widget,  insert() is used
4)  In a GtkWindow widget, set_title() is used
5)  In a GtkLabel widget, text is displayed.
