[PHP-users 7888] php+gdのインストールエラー

gd関連追加させていただきました。 

>gdをphpで使用したいので、gd1.3を削除して、gd1.8.1のrpmファイルにてインストールし>ました。
gd1.8.1のrpmファイルだといけないと思い、gd1.8.3のtarファイル
にてインストールしました。
Makefileは、http://www.itoshima-ah.ed.jp/linux/skyboard08.htm#topを参考にして以下の修正をしました。
       
        最初に１８行目をコメントアウトしましょう。 
          #CFLAGS=-O
         ２１行目のコメントを外し"-DHAVE_XPM"を消します。 
          CFLAGS=-O -DHAVE_JPEG -DHAVE_LIBTTF
         ２５行目をコメントアウトします。 
          #LIBS=-lm -lgd -lpng -lz
         ３０行目のコメントを外し"-lXpm -lX11"を消します。 
          #LIBS=-lm -lgd -lpng -lz -ljpeg -lttf
         ３４行目を下のように変更します。 
          INCLUDEDIRS=-I/usr/local/include -I/usr/include/X11 -I/usr/X11R6/include/X11 -I/ usr/include/freetype

今度は、phpのconfigのところで、エラーが生じて、stopしてしまいます。
RedHat6.2jで、同じような経験をされた方いらっしゃいましたら、
御教示お願い致します。
